I have been to Paris several times, especially over the last year and what I have noticed not only from my visits to the city of love but from following a few Parisian bloggers, French women are known for their chic, effortless style, flawless skin and of course, aging gracefully.
Since my visit in January this year, I have been on a quest to achieve the perfect “Parisian look”, especially when it comes to beauty.
The first Parisian beauty secret is actually super simple! Taking care of your skin is very important. It is no secret that I love skincare products, and since doing beauty PR, I have fallen even more in love with skincare.
I started simplifying my skincare routine much more and introduced some organic products into my skincare route.
My morning and evening routine are always the same. I start off my cleaning my face with Cold Pressed Skin’s Youth Juice Antioxidant cleanser. This ph-balanced, hydrating cleanser naturally lathers and gently cleanses dirt, impurities, and makeup without stripping or drying my skin. I have tried using other cleansers, but for some reason always end up coming back to this cleanser.
After cleansing my skin, but before moisturizing, I use the three products I literally cannot live without:
1) SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic – a revolutionary daytime antioxidant serum which delivers advanced environmental protection that I use every morning. 2) SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex– a rich, hydrating, corrective eye cream. 3) Cold Pressed Skin Urban Combat Green Superfood Moisturiser – an intensely hydrating, brightening and cell regenerating moisturizer that you can use day and night.
Another thing I noticed during my visits to Paris is that you don’t see French women wearing a lot of heavy makeup. In France, makeup is really used to emphasize your natural beauty, rather than cover your entire face.
My daily makeup routine to achieve the “no makeup” look starts off with CHANEL Les Beiges Eau De Teint Water Fresh Tint. It is possibly one of CHANEL’s most successful launches of 2019, and I can see why. I love it for the fact that it is lightweight and gives me sheer coverage while it allows my skin’s natural beauty to shine through. I love to finish off my makeup look by adding the CHANEL Healthy Glow Sheer Powder. I use shade 60 as a bronzer and shade 30 to add radiance to my skin. No look is complete of course without adding mascara to it, I particular love Troublemaker mascara from Urban Decay.
I am a romantic at heart; I often harbor fantasies of peaceful strolls along the streets of River Seine with a loved one, peppered with warm whispers and a tranquil view instead of the hustle and bustle. The perfect scent for me- the CHANEL Paris-Riviera, a sweet, woody fragrance that reflects sensuality as much as it does serenity.
